HALLOWEEN QUEST RECORDS

Exciting News: Ethan (the white noise organization, hadeanera, strain carriage, etc) and Oliver have formed Halloween Quest Records, a new tape label. 

The first release will come from Michigan noise artist REDSK, who’s releasing a 30 minute continuous mix called PLAIN CONTINUITY/NOTHING IS REALLY REAL on yellow tapes as HQ01. It’ll be out within the next month (March/April 2013) and it will be harsh, weird, and insane, as per everything SK comes up with.

The second release (HQ02), will be UK drone act So Far Away Assignment’s album Selkirk Sessions - Extended Tape Mix. It will include all the Selkirk Session tracks that have previously been digitally released on SFAA’s / Richard Wilmer’s netlabel, AREW RECORDINGS. It will also include four previously unreleased tracks that were recorded for the Selkirk Sessions, this will be an edition of 35, with half the tapes going to Europe and the other half staying on this side of the world.

Also on the radar is a new EP from local skramz geniuses THE HILLS ARE WATCHING US which we’ll be putting out on tape. It will be crazily emotional and beautiful, this will be out within the next few months, and it’ll be  HQ03 depending on how releases go. Either way, excellence lies ahead!

The label will focus on post-rock, noise/ambient and fastcore/grindcore as well as a wide spectrum of other experimental genres.
